For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
I cannot fault Ocean Vagabond. The desert setting is absolutely stunning and feels totally unique. The bungalows are kept extremely clean, with very comfy beds and great facilities. You couldn't ask for more welcoming staff both in Ocean Vagabond and the ION Club. And the food is incredible - you have to try the famous couscous! I would give my stay 11/10 if I could, and I will definitely be returning next year for another week of kiting.
The property was clean and well furnished. I came during Eid so there was a sheep market set up across the road. I enjoyed seeing the hustle and bustle of the locals. The facilities were great. It’s really convenient having a washing machine in the property as well. There is a tv with a lot of channels and I even managed to find a channel with English speaking movies. You can see the ocean and watch the sunset from the lounge which was a bonus for me.
Dar Tawarta is a little paradise in the desert. It feels like being transported into a romantic version of reality. The rooms are cozy and furnished in a way that feels personal and down to earth. The garden is wonderful and invites you to relax and slow down. The staff is friendly and the food exceptional. If you want an extraordinary experience, then this is the place for you.
A comfortable, family-owned guest house in downtown Dakhla. this very solid building was built over a period of 2 years by the French owners. The interior walls are very solid so the rooms are wonderfully silent.
Breakfast is served each morning in a communal dining room.
A highlight of my stay was a day trip with Sidi (the neighbour) who took me in his 4WD into the desert.
Good location. Comfortable room and a good breakfast. Good price. And across the road from a restaurant and bar which is rare in these parts. We stayed overnight en route south and it made a very convenient stopover. Market nearby for getting desert gear if going into the Sahara.
An extraordinary space where desert meets the sea, where thermal baths and dragon island excursions are available. A heaven for kite surfing. The food is amazing. Service is excellent. Some rooms have no wifi no AC and no TV but it is done on purpose in order to connect with nature and with other guests. Otherwise fiber connection is available for those who must have it for work.
This was the best experience ever in Dakhla. One of the best places to stay in town. Which you will like and you will enjoy dinner in the desert tent during your stay. Great staff and great service. I hope to book their stay again for my next visit. Also the restaurant here is very amazing. Moroccan food and American cuisine as well. You won't imagine how delicious it is.
