For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
Quiet area just out of the city, easy by tuk tuk. Kitchen and lounge area separate to the bedroom and ensuite. Comfy bed, hot shower! The pool on the roof was lovely to relax in after a hot day, beautiful view from the pool of the city and surrounding hills.
We are really greatful for nice stay at this wildlife resort! The staff were exceptional and helpful. The place - the really calm beauty island in the jungles. We loved the warm pool and the view from it. We recommend rice & curry at the restaurant. Huge windows to the river, jungle and pool and nice terrace for tea, and jungle sounds early in the morning. Children saw monkeys, lizards, bats, birds in the yard.
The host was lovely and offered to cook dinner when I arrived. It's a 15-20 minute walk into the city along 1 road so also a good location. The room was large and comfortable, and a mosquito net was provided.
Super friendly and helpful owner, who speaks faultless English; amazing breakfast; convenient location close to train and bus stations; A/C worked well, as did the hot shower
Fazly was exceptionally helpful and was able to organise all our tours/transport etc. He made some great suggestions for our stay which really made our trip to Kandy. The room is very clean with hot showers and a beautiful sunset view. I would highly recommend and stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay here. The house is in a stunning location with great views and the sunset from the veranda was beautiful.
The house is very spacious, with a bathroom for each bedroom, and the beds were very comfortable too.
The caretakers were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They even helped us with some washing as well.
The owners were very good at communicating throughout even though they were abroad. They gave us some great tips on what to do for the Perahara too.
It was a pleasure to stay here. 😊
Absolutely beautiful stay. Welcomed by our lovely host who was so kind to us and very helpful. He made us the most wonderful traditional Sri Lankan breakfast every morning. 15 min easy walk into centre. Beautiful views from the balcony. Wifi temperamental at times but did work. No air con but slightly cooler temperature anyway as high up, fan provided in the room. Very clean room with mosquito net and nice hot shower.
Well worth a stay here especially for the lovely host and setting.
The room we had was simple but had everything we needed, including a hot shower and large bathroom. we booked the basic room with only a fan and this was enough. The host was helpful on arrival at giving us tips for where to go and how to get there. They offer a breakfast, which is 1000LKR each additional, and was great. if you don’t stay in the ‘view’ rooms there is still a balcony you can sit on to look out and enjoy the sunset!
