For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The location was great and the veranda upstairs looked over a family park with lots of trees. The host was super engaging and gave great advice visiting and recommendations. Room was a spacious and clean. Had the absolute winner of Jaffna Coconut Curry Crab at JAC restaurant. Fast wifi.
We have spent 4 days here, and this place felt like home. Nice and confy room, AC working great, hot shower, the best Wifi in our time in Sri Lanka. Delicious homemade breakfast. Beatiful garden. Super clean. But the best is the host: Allen is just amazing! He was very kind, thoughful, gave all the tips and information, and we still got the chance to talk, share a bit of our experiences. Thank you for everything, Allen!
Was able to access our room at 4 30 am after an overnight bus from Negombo. Dilan father looked after us.Hilda was very good attending to our needs.Verandah lounge area was good. Water available and use of fridge was good. Street food on Kandy Rd was really good .supermarket, bottle shop also. Good access to Nallur temples.Wi fi fast. Train line not a problem.
Room was spacious and comfortable. Good bed, good pillows and clean sheets. The AC worked well, hot shower and good bathroom. Clean and comfortable by Western Standards!
Laundry services had our clothes smelling fresh and clean!
Easy walk to bus station and to markets to explore and find restaurants.
Very professional hotel staff, they were attentive and made sure our needs were met!
The balcony is connected to a common outdoor balcony for all the rooms. We didn't use it as we spent most of our days outside anyway!
The house is down a quiet cul-de-sac, with a leafy garden and outside patio. Our room was large, with good size comfortable double bed. Air con, plus fan, plus mosquito net over bed. Plenty of sockets and good wifi. A lounge area with T.V. and dining area. Excellent delicious substantial breakfast. Allen was an extremely charming and helpful host, always willing to answer our questions, phone transport etc.
We planned to stay there for one night, but ended up staying four. It’s very clean and has enough space to spend time either on the big balcony or in the living room. Host family is lovely and helps with everything you need - from ordering pizza to doing your laundry.
During the sunset you can check out the fruit bats, who live close by.
This place has a very good vibe and I definitely recommend.
We came here and immediately felt comfortable. It was clean, there were mosquito nets, manager and team were lovely, ac was working quite silently, the included breakfast was good and a lot. I had the first good sleep since I arrived the island. Worth every rupee!
The staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a mosquito net provided for each room.
