The concept of this place is great -- large tents with beds and ensuite bathrooms overlooking a beautiful river canyon in the desert, just a few miles from Samburu Wildlife Reserve. The bar/restaurant has good, reasonably priced food that attracts a lot of locals who come for a scenic meal -- locals will outnumber guests in the restaurant most nights. The architecture blends in very well with the surroundings.
Really loved the stay. The camp is in Buffalo Springs not Samburu but this was no problem - we had two days self drive safari in Buffalo Springs and Shaba and saw Lion, Cheetah and Leopard with the help of a ranger which Ashnil organised. Food and service was great. Great value for money.
