For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
We loved how special the tents are. Even though the tarp looks quite worn on the outside. The inside is beautifully decorated, with decorative wooden pillars. The tents have air conditioning, even though it’s noisy for someone not used to sleeping in that, it helped so much with the temperature. Even the floor was wooden.
It’s right by the beach with a gorgeous view. It is also close to Yaiyo Kusama’s yellow pumpkin and we walked to so many of the art areas.
Everything was wonderful. Location - we saw sunset on the water just minutes walk from the property. Peaceful and quiet. The hosts were so friendly and helpful - dropped us off at and picked us up. Food left for us in the apartment for snacks and breakfast. Its a beautiful place with all amenities which is right in the heart of the Art Project. We only wish we had stayed longer!
The stay at Sana Mane was an enjoyable unique experience. The tents were very comfortable with modern bathrooms.
Even though we didn’t get a chance to use the sauna it is amazing. A real art piece. Sonoko the girl on the desk was so friendly & helpful & always smiling which made the stay more special.
I would definitely recommend staying there if you get the chance.
We loved the location, only a 10-15 minute walk from the port, and beautifully located by a beach. Both the tents and the sauna was excellent. Plus we really liked the breakfast.
The tents were located close to the port and on a quiet island corner. The tent and main dome structure and platform were beautiful, and we had our own eating cabin adjacent to our tent. The beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful. The option to curtain off the large clear windows was great and it helped keep in some of the warmth as we stayed on a very cold and rainy day. A woman kindly picked us up and drove us to the site and carried our bags to our tent. They used the Line app to communicate, which was helpful and easy.
We had the traditional cottage and it was great. Very Japanese but with a western style bath outside looking ver the bay to the sunset. The other accom was very modern and nice. A short walk up a steep hill from the Ferry.
I really liked the deck upstairs which overlooked the sea. Ideal spot for sunset. However it would have been better if it had a cover or canopy to make it an all weather area. As we had rain it couldn’t be used a lot. It was nice that we were picked up at the ferry and taken back to it as it’s a rather longish walk with baggage.
The owner was a delight.
She picked us up from the ferry and took us to the accomodation. Really lovely person!
As for the room, had everything you need and it was so special to use the terrace and watch the sunset over the water. Bliss.
Also loved the added touch of providing toast every morning. Very thoughtful.
The location was beautiful and the cottage very comfortable! The bbq dinner was a stand out and it was a lovely place to watch the sunset right on the beach
Great tents, fire pit, little BBQ area (pre-book this) drinks and food can be ordered here too - menu in japanese
