For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
A truly amazing place, which could easily be called an inn or B&B because the word hostel does not suffice. They provide a high level of service (for example the pick-up service and delicious pre-ordered food) and the view from the terrace is gorgeous at sunset. The hosts are very friendly and Erika was very helpful and kind (also with giving us a sake tasting). You simply must try their homemade plum wine! ❤️ … We will never forget our stay with you 🤗
What a warm welcome and so many little touches that made the stay very easy. The tents were large and spacious and beautifully furnished. We were kindly upgraded and offered free showers. The staff couldn't have been kinder.
Ties Campground was a wonderful place to stay as a family. We were hiking a number of days on the Nakasendo Way & returning to the campground each night was great! The place is very well set up with provisions for cooking and cleaning and the glamping tents are really beautiful, with plenty of warmth in the way of sleeping bags and doonas provided. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
We arrived in the pouring room and enjoyed the warm welcome and beers in the main building. The hot pot was delicious and we had a very comfortable stay in the tents. The breakfast with view on the valley and grinding your own coffee was superbe! The owners are very friendly + the camping is ON the Nakasendo trail.
The apartment is beautifully fitted out with comfortable beds and plenty of space. The location has a great view and veranda overlooking the river. The owner is very helpful and assisted us with getting our luggage delivered to the apartment .
Pictures can’t really capture the beauty of this place. You feel the love for the building, the environment and the guests in everything. Our kids and us had a great time here, walking the Nakasendo trail between Magome and Tsumago and staying for two nights. I loved sunset on the veranda with homemade plumwine and the hot bottles (with charcoal) we got at a chilly night.
