Beautiful room ! Stayed in the sympathetically restored house. Fantastic standard, clean, fresh, tastefully furnished in a simple but artful Cretan style. (Restoration finished Sep 2023)
Archanes is such a pretty old village, retaining much of its historic charm. Carpe Diem is an excellent choice to use as a base for visiting Knossos and other areas of Iraklion . We also explored beaches to the north, some with Tavernas and beach bars offering free sun beds to customers.

Quiet environment, amazing views (sea, mountains, sunsets), temperature (even on hot days the house remained cool), very friendly owner who supplied us with vegetables from the garden.
