For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
We loved everything about Cox Hill from the location to the facilities jools and Philip have thought of all the little things that made our stay perfect, we had the log fire going and Philip made sure that we had enough wood, you definitely felt relaxed and because there was only 2 glamping tents you didn't feel overcrowded like you can on a traditional campsite
Nice and clean. Tents clean. Showers and toilets are clean and tidy. Very friendly owners who are helpful. And have some good knowledge if needed of the area. Site felt very secure and safe. Would definitely come back.
Everything! The bell tents were beautiful clean and like a little home, the double bed was extremely comfortable (even better than home!). The facilities were spotless and more than sufficient and the camping area was clean, tidy and great for families to spend time and play. We had an amazing time, wished we could have stayed longer and will definitely be returning again! Thank you Jen and Jay
Everything!! Beautiful lodge, very nice and secluded but amazing location, right in the heart of Cornwall. Within easy driving distance to pretty much everywhere.
So cosy, the 4 poster bed is so comfortable and just what you need after a busy day exploring Cornwall
The Lake by the lodge is wonderful with a family of Canadian geese and other wildlife nearby. My partner in particular loved the rowing boat :)
The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, great knowledge of the local area, just the best!
The staff were lovely, the room was spotlessly clean and the food was amazing and good value for money. The hotel was surrounded by beautiful gardens and, although it's near a main road, it sits on a hill at the end of a winding drive with mature trees in the garden, so even on the verandah you aren't really aware of the road and traffic.
We had a cabin overlooking a small meadow with a stream close by. You couldn't hear any traffic. We sat on the verandah and watched the birds. Idyllic. Cabin was cosy and charming.
Beth had kindly left goodies in the beautiful hut and gave us a personal tour. It was a fun couple of night's stay, using the log burner and outside bath after a long day's walking. Breakfast al fresco in the rising sun, fire pit and chairs towards the setting sun, and a cheeky swing in the hammock too.
