We came to stay for a long weekend and had fantastic time. The site is really well equipped with everything that we needed. We especially loved the cosy fairy lights and the home cinema! It was really lovely to snuggle up. The shared facilities are also brilliant, and I would like to come back with my family - it would be great for kids here

The most wonderful stay in Oakdean Cottage Yurt, we loved every minute. Super clean, beautifully decorated, the facilities were great and right next to the Forest of Dean. We would have loved to have stayed longer! Thank you for a perfect two days.

There is already everything you need there when you arrive! They have thought of everything. Theres Even teabags/coffee and a bottle of milk there for a cuppa. Beds are super comfy with heated blankets. Everything is immaculately clean. The owner was super helpful and very friendly and welcoming. The lodge is very spacious. Beautiful isolated location. Tv with streaming services, board games and books available. Blankets for out doors. Camping chairs for use around the firepit. Everything was faultless and absolutely brilliantly designed and thought about. Lots of added homely comforts. Just an amazing place ❤️

I liked the animals, the bedding and towels were clean. You could see so many stars it was lovely.
For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The room was lovly, magnificent views over the river and plane beyond. It was tastefully decorated, good hot shower, clean and comfortable. However, it was a little warm (August).
Staff were friendly and efficient.
The owner was very welcoming. It was a good location close to town a shotlrt walk up the hill and there's a pub/restaurant across the road. The room had a lovely view of the sunset. I was travelling alone and I felt safe. There was parking outside on the street. Noted comments about lack of WiFi but it's downstairs and there are handy toiletries which can be found on the stairs on the way up.
Plenty of options at breakfast, quick, efficient and friendly attentive staff. Enjoyed a couple of pints at the hotel bar, the veranda offering sweeping views of the countryside and the river Wye below.
Spacious free car park to the rear was an added plus point.
Michelle and hubby did their very best to make us feel welcome. Lovely locally produced food basket.
They have a shop nearby which has the best in season local berries. The location is wonderful.
It's nice to hear the wildlife in the evening.
We felt very comfortable here and will be returning.
Many thanks for your hospitality.
The hosts Mike and Suzie were very friendly and welcoming. We arrived quite late on our first night and Mike met us on the drive. Cottage is very cute and window overlooking the garden the go to spot for afternoon tea. Garden is lovely with lots of visiting wildlife. Pillows on the bed were particularly comfortable.
A lovely comfortable stay whilst in the area for work. Nice hot shower and a peaceful room with a lovely view. Very homely and had everything I needed.
