Was welcomed warmly for a one night stopover.
Our room was above the pub but well insulated from traffic and restaurant noise. Very cosy.
Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was roomy and shower pressure great.
Added bonus of checking in, then sitting in the beer garden watching the sunset and hot air balloon in the distance across the fields. Very serene setting.
Tasty and lovingly cooked dinner and breakfast served in the restaurant.
Would highly recommend.
Since it is a pub, there is this nice atmosphere so it didn't feel like some deserted Holiday whatever inn hotel. The food was unexpectedly high quality for it just being a pub. It was great and you don't need my word for it, because on a normal week day, during dinner, it was suddenly absolutely packed with people.
The room was huge, the bathroom was huge and everything was decorated with tastefull antiques.
Loved the staff. Will and his team are so warm and welcoming. Our meal was really delicious. We were initially seated in the marquee part of the restaurant, but asked to be moved into the bar area, which they did for us, so we were very grateful. Our room looked out onto nature and wildlife, which we loved, and it was so peaceful at night.
