For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
A delightful little cottage in a peaceful countryside location.
The owners were very welcoming and provided us with bread, milk, eggs, granola and fresh fruit for breakfast at our leisure, as there's a little kitchenette in the cottage.
Lovely and clean, hot shower, comfy beds and seating areas inside and out.
Highly recommend!
Breakfast and dinner were excellent. There was no heating or hot water on arrival...We were walking the South Downs Way. Hot showers are essential. They did provide plug heaters and hot water restored in the morning. But not ideal.
Brocklands Farm was the perfect place to relax and recharge. The safari tent was exceptional, from the delicious lemon cake on arrival to the quirky cabin bed which the kids loved, it had everything we needed. We are definitely going to return for another visit.
This is such a hidden gem of a spot! The views are stunning, and the fresh bread, food and cereals to make breakfast in the morning was a lovely touch. The jacuzzi is a lovely little bonus - spotlessly clean and works perfectly. It was also lovely having the binoculars and local wildlife books to spot some of the curious creatures flitting around. We really enjoyed our stay here. It's the perfect peaceful get-away and would absolutely return!
Breakfast in the morning was really good, all nice, hot and freshly cooked. Had a good chat with the owner who went above and beyond to ensure I had a good stay. I was hiking the southdowns and he even offered me a lift back down to QE park to continue my treck if my taxi didn't show. My room was ok for the price, bed was comfortable and I had a nice hot shower. Overall was pleased with my stay. Out of the 4 places I stayed over the easter weekend on my hike this was the better one. 😊
Quiet, lovely spacious and clean property with gorgeous interior. The cottage had everything we needed, including kitchen facilities, parking, courtyard and the extra amenities were a nice touch. log burner was a delight too, especially with it being so cold during the visit. Cottage located on lovely grounds which are well worth a walk (early morning/sunset we found was a lovely time for this). Ideal location to visit nearby towns/villages and attractions!
The room at Chris's house was amazing. We had the attic room and were treated to wonderful sunrises and sunset. Chris also provided a bowl of fruit, water and a good selection of teas, infusions and coffee. Normally, you only get this in a 4 or 5-star hotel. We got it at Chris's B&B ! ! ! The room was spacious and the bathroom had natural light ie: a window. Chris was a wonderful host with huge knowledge about the area. His B&B is also the perfect starting point to explore the South Downs.
