For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Modern lodge in a quite picturesque setting. All mod cons available. Liked the small balcony which was plenty big enough for 4 people. Surrounded by wildlife and good pub in the village.
We were greeted with a friendly welcome from Sheila and Mike, which made us immediately feel like at home. We chose the large Safari room, which was probably the biggest room we have stayed in. Incredible!
The house is furnished with international decor of the highest quality. We enjoyed exploring the guest house and browsing the fascinating artifacts.
To end our trip we enjoyed an amazing breakfast, which was made with the finest ingredients.
The guest house itself is worth a visit to Newark.
The amazing View, facility, people (the owners, working staff and customers) , dog friendly, flexible, like home, relaxing, friendly! Hot Tub with hot water 😊, fire places, sauna. Away from any noise. Heating in tents! Electric blankets!
While the managers were there, they were really accomodating and looked after us well, making sure we had access to the hot tub and cleaning it really well in advance. The tents are pretty and the view is lovely. The setting is great and I appreciate that there has been a recent change of management. The guy who was babysitting the site set us a fire which was great.
Lovely room, comfy bed, hot shower, nice pub, good food, and host Richard was very friendly. Had a 10 minute stroll down to the river Trent, which was beautiful. Newark-on-Trent is a real gem of a town, very much worth a visit and is only a few minutes by car from the pub. Overall, a great stay for the weekend.
The layout was lovely. The tent was wonderful and very comfortable.
Enjoyed full use of the hottub and bbq. Didn’t use sauna just because it was so hot. Beautiful views and stunning sunset.
