For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
The atmosphere in the lodge and around the lodge was just beautiful, colouring and games were left for children, stunning wildlife and sunrise/sunset, the owners were superb with anything we needed to ask even to the day we left! ☺️ we will definitely be back!
A fabulous hotel, the contents and "treasures" in all the rooms downstairs was stunning. Full of individuality and very special. Excellent location, walking distance to the centre of Louth. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, nothing was too much bother, and they would all talk to you! Some places we've stayed in we have felt like an interruption in their busy day, but not here. Special mention to Thomas for laying our breakfast out on the big dining room table in the breathtaking library room.
For the price with a hot tub it was great value
Comfy beds
Great kitchen and veranda wraparound
Sofas were very comfy
Great central heating system it comes on hot so quick
Beautiful property in a picturesque location, lots of open countryside, wildlife, quiet and calm. The coach house was very clean. comfortable and well equipped.
Lovely views from the windows, strolls in the grounds or walks further afield.
Jessica was lovely, there to help or give advice if needed. It was nice to bump into and chat with Dorothy, a local lady who looks after the pretty little church .
The host Julie and her husband were lovely, warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing. The location was peaceful and stunning, I loved watching the wildlife from the garden room. We will definitely stay again ❤️
Gorgeous little annex with big bedroom in the roof. Lovely bright windows downstairs to do crafting, if that's your thing. Very lovely host who gave us the key and quickly showed us round, then wished us safe travels after leaving. Lovely sunset views, and don't forget to look up at the stars at night. Chip shop 10 minute walk away. Little village shop has a wide range of food and other items, or there is a Co-op 5 minutes drive away. I recommend The Haven if you like bird spotting.
From booking to check out it was an excellent experience. The location was great, just on the edge of Louth which is a lovely town. There was secure gated parking for my motorcycle which was important for me. The room was very clean with a comfortable bed, good en-suite (nice hot shower) and the breakfast was first class. All members of the family were very welcoming and went out of their was to make this a wonderful stay, many thanks.
the lodge was in a perfect location, the lay out is great. It was very peaceful. Lovely seeing all the wildlife outside as you sit out on the veranda. We stayed as a family of 6. Walked to the Royal Oak (the splash) which was a lovely walk across the golf course, we had a great meal and they were very friendly. We would definitely recommend the lodge and we will definitely be returning 😊
