This was our second stay and we're so glad we chose it again. It's such a beautiful and tranquil spot. Perfect base for visiting family in Ottery St Mary and exploring southeast Devon. My Guide Dog loved having a roam around the campsite first thing every morning. We were fortunate to have sun for most of our trip, so we enjoyed the outside area and had a barbeque. The hot tub was fab again and thankfully Jo had it ready for our arrival. Sitting there in the warm twilight with a cold glass of fizz was just what we needed after a long drive.
The tent is so well appointed and the space to relax in and around has been thoughtfully created.
Lovely to walk around the quiet local back roads to Talaton, where there's a lovely well stocked shop, which was impressively open on the bank holiday weekend, and a cosy, friendly traditional pub for a proper Sunday roast. It's a fantastic spot to rest and recharge, off the grid with no distractions. Definitely booking for next year!
Bowhayes Farm - Camping and Glamping is a recently renovated luxury tent in Venn Ottery where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities.

Beautiful location. Unspoilt country views. Fantastic kitchen and shower with everything we needed. Would recommend to anyone who wants to escape the endless disconnect from nature that we suffer from. Brilliant
Featuring a garden, Mill Stream Yurt features accommodations in Colyton. With free private parking, the property is 15 miles from Golden Cap and 25 miles from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium.
For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
The location is fabulous. The tents are roomy and attractively decorated. The beds I believe are comfortable, I had the cushions. The showers were hot and plentiful a problem was that the toilet for one tent was not working so 7 people had the use of one toilet.
The rooms are to a high standard with quirky decorations, Cara and Steve are fantastic hosts. We will be returning.
The breakfast was cooked to perfection with locally sourced produces used.
Lots of wildlife to see on the valley behind the accommodation we saw 3 deer grazing.
Great place to stay, kitchen fully equipped, nice hot shower and very cosy log burner to use when it is chilly. Everything was immaculate, very enjoyable stay.
Welcoming, cosy Inn. Room very clean, tea, coffee, water in room. Lovely hot shower, good wifi signal for us. Had evening meal, which was outstanding. Breakfast, also very good.
Nice location, breakfast was nice. Pub food was nice. Never been to Honiton but the food was expensive. I live in Eastbourne so compared to the pubs I usually eat at I’d estimate the deserts are £1.50 over priced. And the main menu around £1-2 over the average
The host, Anton, was so welcoming and helful; nothing was too much trouble. Very clean, and it was such a peaceful environment. Tents very well spaced apart, and the solar lighting was magical. We would certainy do it again.
Fantastic little lodge in an amazing setting, in a beautiful area. It's in the countryside but only a few miles from the coast too.
Very comfortable and private when the doors are closed but these can be opened wide looking onto fields.
We were embarrassed to get there very late, hours after our check in time due to traffic so we missed the sunset but our hosts were excellent and didn't rush us at all in the morning and were very sociable too. We would happily stay here again. Thanks!
Lovely location with a peaceful rural setting and very cosy and clean accommodation .
Lovely hosts too who made us very welcome and we enjoyed the garden both evenings with the lit chiminea watching the wildlife!
Fabulous little place. Fabulous hosts. So nice to have the hosts meet us on arrival and we sat and chatted together for quite a while. Pub/restaurant just up the road, and drive into town nice and easy if you fancy something different. Cabin had everything you could ask for. Lots of wildlife around - even had something pitter-patter right past the front of the cabin early in the morning, although missed what it was. Would definitely use again.
