For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The host prepares the room with lovely attention to detail. Arrival to homemade lemon drizzle cake, for instance.
The room is meticulously clean, the bed is extremely comfortable, and the perfectly hot shower comes with pleasant body and hair gels.
Reassuring thoughtful touches, too, with movement activated bathroom lighting.
Above all, the fresh continental breakfast is a delight with freshly baked bread, croissant, and homemade yogourt, jam, and quiche. The coffee is superbly nutty.
Loch Ness Pods were lovely, had everything I needed. Had my own space, even a veranda and barbecue area. Shower really good, plenty of hot water, in a quiet area with parking on site.
I liked the self check-in and the security of the premises. The room was lovely and modern with a beautiful bathroom with a powerful hot shower. There was also a balcony with table and chairs which was lovely to sit out on in the morning and watch the canal bridge open and let boats through. Tea,coffee facilities offered a good range. Bed was very comfortable.
Really cosy with everything you could need for a few nights stay. Good hot shower. Easy to find/park. Convenient access to Fort Augustus and surrounds (although we had a car). Very quiet and private despite being 'near' road.
Amazing cake left for me, wildlife and the pigs
Phil and Sue were so friendly and welcoming. Location is fantastic. Decor lovely and the bathroom is stunning and such a comfy bed
Great wildlife in garden, short walk into Fort Augustus.
