Shepherd's hut at Rosewood House, hotel in Liskeard

Offering a garden and garden view, Shepherd's hut at Rosewood House is set in Liskeard, 6.3 km from Kartworld and 11 km from Wild Futures The Monkey Sanctuary.

Location and proximity to the railway station. Peace and quiet. Garden and woodland. Size of property (bigger than similar ones I have stayed in). Outdoor seating and table. Hammock. Cosy and very comfortable. The fact there was no TV. dominating a wall in the property.

Otter Shepherds Hut, hotel in Bodmin

Situated in Bodmin in the Cornwall region, Otter Shepherds Hut features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

We arrived late and the instructions received prior to the day of arrival were extremely thorough which massively helped. The hut was incredibly welcoming and luckily the weather was pleasant at times, allowing us to enjoy walking around the farm and to use the outside table. However, when the rain came we were extremely content in the hut, looking out the window. A lovely booklet was waiting for us upon arrival with useful information and everything was clean and set up ready to go. The bathroom was impressive, a lovely warm shower! The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. We felt incredibly welcome and really enjoyed the unique experience. The hut was a great base for us to go on day trips and explore. We had a fantastic time and can't wait to return!

Our host was incredibly friendly and accomodating. We arrived quite late at night but he was always very flexible and accomodating. We purposely choose accomodation that's deep in the wilderness and this is exactly what we got. The the garden and the surroundings were beautiful. The room itself was also very clean and comfortable - I particuarly loved the style of the bathroom.

Really beautiful setting, amazing spot for watching the sunset and then the stars. Ideal to have the bbq there too! Loved the welcome of fresh homemade cake left for us and nice to get to speak to Kim and Tony. Also nice to have the abundance of birds and dogs around us! It also felt like a luxury to have a full working bathroom and mini kitchen in the little hut!

Kim and Tony are wonderful hosts, and the doggies are very placid and friendly! We arrived to freshly baked delicious lemon drizzle cake, which is such a thoughtful touch. The apartment is well stocked, and Demelza is situated in a beautifully quiet hamlet, with lovely views of the countryside, lots of birdsong to enjoy, and the most amazing sunsets. Feeding the chickens and ducks and collecting wggs were the highlights for the children! Thank you!

Secluded quiet area, nature all around. You can hear the birds singing. There’s a hammock in the woods which was wonderful to lay in - I actually fell asleep in there! Everything was clean, everything you needed was in there. If you did need something though, Abbie & Toby were always there. We struggled making a fire and Toby came down within minutes to help which was so appreciated!

Clean and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen therefore self catering is easy, especially as supermarkets are nearby. It’s out of the main town so the only noise is the wildlife and the occasional piece of farm traffic, but very convenient for the A30 and A38 so making getting around and exploring the county a breeze.
