For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
La Veranda was amazing, they make you feel at home and everyone who works there was friendly and helpful, we had a great conversation with them speaking about Nubian culture, La veranda is quite and you can experience the real life of Nubian village.
We had an exceptional and unforgettable stay from the moment we entered the hotel, and everything was wonderful. All the staff were wonderful, especially the young man at the reception. They offered us tours that were very enjoyable to visit the pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, Alexandria, and the White Desert, accompanied by our guide (Marwa). He met all our needs and it was an excellent experience. Very enjoyable, and the view of the rooftop from the top was very good, especially the Bedouin tent. I loved everything there. I recommend it.
The boat trip to access the hotel is nice, the location is very quiet and the dunes and desert right behind the hotel are great with beautiful sunsets.
Super clean place with fantastic facilities! Kamel, the hotel manager, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was of his highest priority. And that speaks volumes!
He was genuine and helped me with taxi’s, food, markets and anything I needed. I would 100 recommend this place to anyone considering Aswan! Annddddd I experienced the best sunset I’ve actually ever seen. The rooftop is a supurb view of the Nile river, greenery, desert and that glorious red sun.
Nice location on elephantine island. Good views of the river at sunset. Friendly family downstairs operate the property. They let us drop our bags early before checking in which was a big help! Hot showers!
Charming location: on a private island - we stayed literally with the Nile at our feet for 3 days in Aswan:) It gets quiet and lovely, shielded from the loud and crazy Aswan center life - the hotel has 2 terraces to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets on the Nile/desert
24/7 food/drinks availability, great shopping at the resort, great travel agency supporting us with the trip to Abu Simbel and airport transfers - friendly staff
There was nothing I didn't like about the Nubian Palace. The staff are the most welcoming people I met during my whole stay in Egypt. The rooms are extremely beautiful and just as comfortable. After spending days in the desert, it was a perfect stay. The Palace is in the middle of the village, with the market to one side, access to camel rides on the other, and a perfect view of the Nile in the middle (perfect for an afternoon stroll and enjoying the sunset afterwards). The food was amazing as well.
