Super clean, well equipped, a hot shower(!!!!). The bed was really comfy too. The lady who gave us the key was friendly and helpful and advised us where to change money to dollars too! The area is absolutely fine in daylight, although as mentioned in many reviews not the most beautiful part of town. It was perfect location as we were getting a 6am bus up to Nicaragua.

The hotel grounds are very nice and well-maintained. The rooms are spacious, and in the lobby, you can listen to a pianist in the evening. The hotel has a small shop and a car rental office with very friendly staff. The restaurant/grill by the pool is of good quality. The shuttle service to/from the airport needs to be booked in advance, but it runs reliably. Covered parking is available. The pool area is large and comfortable, with hammocks being a bonus feature. Two bottles of water are provided daily in the room.

Breakfast was great, encountered first costa rican wildlife while eating made-to-order omelette. Quirky interior was refreshing in comparison to the many sterile, IKEA decorated hotels. Attached restaurant serves great food - fancy, but not over the top. Walking distance to other nice places to eat too. Staff are all very friendly, multilingual, and helpful. Thanks!

Friendly, cheap, good vibes, all amenities you need except laundry (although I didn’t ask, just didn’t see any signs about laundry) and a swimming pool with a lovely chill garden and serving nice food and drinks, hammocks, tables, sun beds etc. also sofas indoors with a tv and Netflix. Beds have two USB ports for charging, reading light and privacy curtains. A perfect oasis before and after backpacking! Would definitely stay again
