We absolutely loved our stay at the Finca Chica lodge. This was by far the best stay of our holidays. The lodge is very clean and well equipped. Our lodge had its own little garden with hammocks from which we could enjoy the wildlife like the agouti's and hummingbirds. The host was extremely helpful, and the gardener showed us animals like sloths and lizards on the property. Waking up with the sounds of the birds and the howler monkeys was an amazing experience. We will definitely come back in the future!
The pool was lovely and being able to see and hear the wildlife from the pool area was nice. The rooms are cute and the hammock is a lovely touch.
The breakfast was lovely.
This location is great, set back from the main road so no traffic/noise, surrounded by trees and wildlife. No need to visit the national parks just hangout on your veranda and watch the humming birds, the white-collared manakins courtship dance, sloths, agouti go by, and listen to the howlers. The accommodation is set up really well, lots of cooling breeze through the mess windows and fully sealed so no mosquitos getting in. The owners Vittorio & Priscilla were helpful and lovely hosts.
The facilities are very nicely maintained and tasteful. The bigger family room had a very nice terrace and all rooms have hammocks. Even if not very remote, lots of wildlife around.
Very nice, helpful and funny staff :) the room was amazing - clean, comfortable and you feel like you're in the middle of the rain forest - which you somehow are. If you lie in the hammock you can spot the "wildlife" in the garden: incredibly cute agutis, butterflys, lizards, frogs, birds and so on... the breakfast is awesome as well! Pura vida feeling as it should be!

We really enjoyed our stay a lot. We had a beautiful little house near the river, with a hot shower and a comfortable bed, also an extra living room and a little kitchen. Could see monkeys and sloths, agutis and a lot of other different wildlife from our terrace. Free water, laundry and kayaks. Everything was really clean and only 5 min walk to the beach. Helped us with everything we needed. A tuktuk to puerto viejo takes about 10 mins. Everyone was really friendly we would def come again.
The room was really nice and the kitchen had almost everything we needed. There was a mosquito net over the bed wich was a nice surprise. The veranda and the garden was very beatiful and we spent a lot of time outdoors. We saw a lot of animals from the property. Even a rare frog and tucans. Never saw them elsewere during our 31 day stay i CR. The host was not there during our stay but we got all the help and service we needed anyway! Very helpful!
