For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Friendly staff, the location is very nice and some of the tents are right at the beach, lots of wildlife around, enough bathrooms which is good because they host often big groups of people
Breakfast was not included, there were 3 options and all very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful - from advising places to eat, to looking after our bags while we went into Corcovado. Lodges are lovely - sitting on the veranda (or swinging in the hammock) was extremely relaxing, looking out over the bay.
The location of Sunset Lodge is stunning - overlooking Drake Bay. We could see the sea and surrounding forest and awoke to an amazing dawn chorus of parrots, macaws and other birds. The room itself was really charming and good for 4 people. We had a lovely deck to sit on and admire the wildlife and views. The shower and bathroom were well equipped. We had coffee facilities which were great.
Absolutely fantastic, the jackpot in Drake bay. Unbelievable location near a wast deserted dream beach. Fantastic restaurant, wonderful clean and comfortable rooms with hot shower, fridge, internet and everything. A lovely garden to relax in! Amazing tour organisation, we did some tours with them and they were awesome! Charming people run the place, always helpful. A HIT!
Pool and air conditioning!
Pool was a great plus after a hot morning tour.
Sweet staff.
Simple but comfortable room with fridge table and excellent hot shower (best of our trip)
Remember to choose air-conditioned room if wanted on booking. It was hot and humid so was most welcome.
Very short , 5 min, uphill walk to village with store and restaurants. Another 5 mins on to beach.
Beautiful beaches.
Fantastic tours.
Amazing wildlife.
The bungalow was really nice with a wonderful veranda facing the djungel garden. Two hammocks to enjoy the view.
The kitchen was well equipped and they had filtered drinking water! The staff was friendly and helpful.
The location. It was right on the edge of the forest and you felt immersed in nature. It was family run and people were so friendly and helpful. They had great communication with us before we arrived and made sure that our tours were planned and that our pick ups were organised. The beach was a still away and deserted and beautiful. Sea view form the room and a veranda with a hammock to lounge on. The room was rustic but they made wonderful towel creatures for us everyday and decorated our dining table for us. Such lovely touches.
Cute property with nice, clean room, ac. The owners are dog advocates and helped a stray dog. The also have adorable dogs of their own. There is a cute beach boardwalk over the mangroves to the deserted beach. Beautiful sunsets.
Fabulous jungle all around the communal area, do incredible wildlife watching during meals.. Lovely big wooden veranda and hammock and very handy washing lines! Juan was very helpful organising tours and taxis to and from his place.
