For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The lodge was a nice cabin in the middle of nowhere (which in this case is a good thing). The cabin and common spaces were nice and the breakfast room was great with lots of windows overlooking the valley. Breakfast was a good selection and it was nice to interact a bit with all the visitors who were all heading out into the wilderness each day.
Really comfortable bed, spacious room, great view. About 15 mins drive from Golden, but lots of wildlife spotting (deer and bears) on trips in and out.
The location was superb. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and the wildlife that visited in the meadow below the cabin. The cabin was quirky which we enjoyed.
The Location is wonderful.Remote very quiet. We loved it and we were able to see wildlife everytime we came and went from the property into town. The Lodge is very confortable and very clean and the staff super friendly and accomodating.
The accommodation was in a peaceful spot I loved sitting watching for wildlife around the back garden. The kids enjoyed the games and toys. The hot tub was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped including clothes washing and drying facilities. The place was clean with 2 rooms plus optional third sofa bed with curtain for privacy.
Both the location and quietness of the area was great. The building was lovely. Cathy made great efforts to make sure the food she cooked for our breakfast was vegan and safe to eat (although do note, you are expected to have breakfast at 8am on the dot, which for some may be a tad early), and Bruce was friendly. You will absolutely manage to see wildlife in the area. It looks to be a great location for a group or family booking.
Wonderful views of the mountain and ski resort during my summer visit. It was calm and quiet. The room was compact with not a lot of space, but it was fine for a night. There was a kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge, etc. The bed was comfortable and the small balcony was nice. The doors had a mosquito net over, so you could sleep with the balcony doors open (no AC, only a fan). The jacuzzi was relaxing. There is a lovely Café, which is open during the day in the building. The ski lifts are in front of the hotel and the sunsets are magical.
