The rooms were a good size, comfy and clean. The breakfast was fab with a great selection to keep everyone happy. You are just a 1 minute walk to the beach and the rooftop pool is small but beautifully laid out. The cafe/bar on the roof has full views of the beach and you can see Christ the Redeemer in the distance too. It is a great place to watch the sunset with a drink in hand. The kids loved the little games area in reception (billards, table football, arcade game and x box). The staff were super friendly.

This apartment was perfect! It was so comfortable and spacious. Great wifi and with smart TV with netflix. Bed was comfy and extra blankets if we needed. Nice hot shower. The host provides everything you need and more, its the little touches that make this place so good! We wanted to extend but its already booked up and we can understand why. Really safe with security downstairs and a few minutes walk to two beaches. Highly recommend!

As sisters from Ireland being in Brazil for the first time we were greeted with excellent reception staff and porter. These staff all week were friendly, helpful went over and above with advice. The twin room was fine and had plenty of room. Plenty to eat at breakfast. Loved being up by the rooftop pool, great view for sunset. Good location for a beach or city break.

It’s convenient location. The free shuttle service from the airport. The friendly staff. The amazingly good hot shower, the water pressure was so strong I was able to have a much needed “hydro massage”before I went to bed! The excellent breakfast.

The location was perfect, a really relaxed and friendly neighbourhood with wonderful views of the sunset over the harbour. It was a great location for exploring the beaches, sugarloaf mountain and Christ Redeemer. The staff and owner were really friendly and helpful. I had a free upgrade to suite which was amazing and breakfast was delicious.

The view is magnificent. Waking up to singing birds and in the evening the beautiful sunset is totally worth it. We even saw an Ariel Toucan from our balcony one day. The staff is nice and helpful, proper breakfast and comfortable bed.

No doubt, my group will stay again in this accommodation, the location is very good, close to pharmacies, bars, supermarkets and the beach. My group had 09 people, and it was an ideal size, clean apartment ,organized, hot showers and excellent location. Friendly terrace for a chat and a good wine.

We stayed 3 nights in September 2023 at Urca Guest House. Central location in Urca (we used Uber and 99 to get around to other places), near the Sugarloaf hill and Praia Vermelha (nice for a nightly swim). The neighbourhood is quite ok; we walked around after sunset without issues. Very pleasant and helpful staff (checked up with before arrival, allowed us to shower after our return from the beach on our last day). Comfy bed, hot shower, extensive breakfast, big room (with terrace), small swimming pool. Cool spot to discover Rio.
