Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Beautiful location, lovely kind hosts who kept in touch at a distance. We had all three tents between us, loved the thoughtful areas around the site, such as outdoor fire pits and little wind protected outdoor kitchens. There was a really friendly chook that followed us around, and a very brazen possum after our delicious pastries which made it fun for my friend who wasn't used to such novelties!
The cabin was surrounded by trees with a stunning view out over the ocean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious - we had the poached eggs and they were my favourite ever! I also tried the Japanese Udon noodles which was delicious on a cold morning. We were able to watch the sunrise from bed and see some Australian wildlife under the stars. We will definitely be back! A perfect stay for couples.
The view! We arrived at sunset and it was just beautiful. The studio was small but well furnished and the bed was comfortable. The staff were very lovely and the dinner and breakfasts were delicious. Definitely go to at least one of their dinners if you stay here!
Superb views from the room, including the opportunity to see wildlife (we saw wombats, brush tailed possums, wallabies, birds..) and the sunrise. Great breakfast, and the staff, especially Pearl, were fantastic.
The Beachcomber was a very nice beach house with an amazing view to see the sunset. Went their for our anniversary and will definitely be back.

Attention to detail with lots of nice touches in the decor and facilities. The tents were made cosy and comfortable with wood burner, in a great location near the waterside. If the weather had been better, we would have taken advantage of the outside fire and kitchen area.
We booked 2 tents for 1 night and had a lovely stay. The self check-in process was very well explained and the sites had everything we needed. The location was very peaceful and we enjoyed spotting wildlife. There were 2 friendly chickens.
Good location, close to convenience stores, restaurants, cafes (5-10min drive)… but the best of all, we loved the private oceanfront view!! We watched the sunset whilst listening to the crashing waves… When night falls, we even took Milky Way shots!
Also love how thoughtful the host was - from the lovely customised bath shower gel to the mosquito netting round the house to the electric mattress heating. Stay was soooo comfortable <3 Host was also responsive to our queries too. Wished we could stay there forever!!
Thank you for providing all that we needed. House was spacious, immaculate & views were beautiful over the bay. A beautiful large verandah to watch the sunsets and we loved having a family pool tournament to end our stay. Short but steep walk to the beach. Very very happy with our holiday here.
The Bush Retreat was in a beautiful location, comfortable, and the views were magnificent. The telescope, hammock and champagne were nice touches. We spent a relaxing night sitting outside on the balcony watching the stars and waiting for wildlife.
