What a magical place Turon gates was, we were so blessed to have picked this place and we woke up to see kangaroos with a Joey in the pouch feeding on the grass outside of our cabin. The hammock was so nice to chill out on and the fire pit was lovely sitting back with my son toasting marshmallows. Alex and Michael were really lovely and helpful. I recommend Turon Gates for anyone wanting an escape.

Attractive heritage hotel close to Capertee Valley for birdwatching. Very clean room and bathroom, with a comfortable bed and friendly staff who made me feel very welcome. A great deck upstairs on the side with sunset, ducks and bushland views. Oh and black cockatoos flying by at eye level. Yes, and award winning crafty craft whisky made in the shed outside to warm up your cockles because it's really cold and the fires are sadly not on.
