Featuring a terrace and views of city, ibis Styles Chaves is located in Chaves, less than 500 metres from Chaves Thermal Spa. This was one of the nicest places I stayed on my entire 6-week travels through Portugal. Room was really comfortable, as was the bed, the staff were all very nice and helpful, the breakfast was REALLY good, and the location was very central but also very quiet. They did a good job curating the hotel.

An amazing hotel. Looks old from the outside, but really pretty on the inside! The staff was great, helped us with everything we needed and more! The town is just beautiful!!

Situato a Chaves, a soli 1,5 km dalla città e a meno di 5 minuti di auto dalle terme di Caldas de Chaves, l'Hotel Albergaria Borges, 3 stelle, offre moderne sistemazioni e un ristorante in loco. Lo staff (al proprietario ed ai ragazzi abbiamo lasciato un biglietto di ringraziamento, tanto sono stati carini), il parcheggio gratuito, le cene.

Affacciata sulla pittoresca valle del fiume Douro e ospitata all'interno di una storica residenza di campagna, tra giardini e vigneti, la Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food vanta una... Great hospitality, perfect wine and food. I would recommend it for my friends.

Featuring a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, garden and views of lake, Belas Vistas Hotel is set in Montalegre, 24 km from Carvalhelhos Thermal Spa. Arrived super early but room was ready so let me check in. Off road parking within the grounds for motorbike and able to park at rear out of sight although it’s a quiet place, beautiful views, good breakfast and room was very spacious clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful. Nearest super market was around 11km away. Petrol station just up the road and there’s a restaurant around 1.5k or so up the road that does lunch and evening meals.

Situated within 13 km of Natur Waterpark and 37 km of Douro Museum, Casa do Santo - Wine & Tourism features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Provesende. It was simply beautiful, we had the pool view room though I have to say the pool, though lovely, was the last thing your eyes feasted on, the views over the mountains and vineyards being exceptional. Pulling the window blinds up in the room took your breath away. Spotlessly clean, fresh and airy. Maria was amazing, very knowledgeable and freely giving of the interesting family history and arranged restaurants and taxis for us which was most helpful. We obviously had to sample the wine and port, again very good, the White Reserva being most excellent, so much so we had to buy some to take home to add to our collection (if it gets there!). The small but perfectly pared nibbles with the wine and port were very naughty but nice. We would definitely stay again and would certainly fully recommend anyone to visit as a must do, great place for all the great Douro river and port wine activities in a peaceful environment. The village is great too. Highly recommended. Thank you.
