Vila Nova Milfontes is a lovely little seaside town and we’re glad we found this wonderful B&B which is just a few steps away from cafes, shops and restaurants. Room is simple and great value for money. Parking is free and easy, just outside the B&B. The beach is about 10mins walk away and the lighthouse (great place for sunset) another 15mins.

The guesthouse is brand new and impeccably clean. The staff is very welcoming and flexible. Kettle and coffee machine, water and small sweet is available upon arrival. Best night of sleep (quality/price ratio) I’ve experienced while on the Fisherman’s trail.

Hosts very good people, hospitable. Stewards of their land. Alpacas are interesting, curious, friendly. Lovely countryside setting.

Boasting garden views, Monte da Isabel offers accommodation with patio, around 20 km from Parque Natural do Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina. Absolutely perfect! Stunning setting. Spotlessly clean. Extremely comfortable. Very friendly host (Isabel) - who even phoned her son in law to translate for us. It could not have been better at the end of a long day’s walk on the Rota Vicentina. Isabel also provided delicious supper at the Casa Fonseca up the road, and a huge breakfast!
