Located in Sherborne, 43 km from Monkey World, The Hillbrook Hotel & Spa - Sherborne provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. The whole stay was very good indeed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Bit of a walk into town though about 20 mins but you cant have everything.

Located in Lyme Regis, near Lyme Regis Front Beach and Dinosaurland Fossil Museum, Conifers is a recently renovated property, featuring, a garden and shared lounge. Fantastic accommodation in a lovely position. Tina, the owner, was absolutely amazing, so friendly and helpful. She really made our stay very special. Highly recommend Conifers.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Portman Lodge offers accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. This guest house features free private parking and a shared kitchen. Breakfast was excellent and honestly why we chose Portman Lodge. My husband wanted to experience an English Breakfast. Neal was super helpful and friendly. The room was much nicer, comfortable and more modern than expected.

Located in Sherborne, 44 km from Longleat Safari Park, The Old Bakery provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. It was great, right smack in the middle of the beautiful little town. The host was extremely nice and accommodating. We’d originally rented a different place but didn’t find it fit for purpose so this was last minute thing, but found it extremely clean, very freshly furnished, bed was very comfortable, all in all a great space. Host had left a nice welcoming selection of fruit milk, and other niceties. I go around a lot and this was hands down one of the better places. Even proper dense and big bath towels which usually isn’t a thing to expect even in the higher price classes.

Set in Weymouth, 300 metres from Weymouth Beach and 25 km from Monkey World, Harbour House offers garden views and free WiFi. Great location and very friendly owners, breakfast excellent.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lower Farm Cottage is located in Beaminster, 27 km from Golden Cap and 27 km from Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. From Sam’s welcome until the time I left, I felt comfortable and at ease. Sam has created an ambience to be envied, and ensured the room was warm and welcoming on a cold windy night. Providing a broad selection of cereals, fruit, etc for breakfast, the tea blend is spot-on.....and properly made in a decent teapot with proper milk...absolute bonus!! I am working on returning for a few more days as soon as I can.

Offering a garden and garden view, Shepherds hut surrounded by fields and the Jurassic coast is located in Bridport, 47 km from Sandy Park Rugby Stadium and 3.1 km from Dinosaurland Fossil Museum. Shepherd hut was cosy and very comfortable especially the bed, surroundings were beautiful and peaceful,very clean and tidy .

The property itself is beautiful, comfortable, and homey, but the highlight are truly the owners and their wonderfully kind and welcoming nature.

Set in Dorchester, the recently renovated The Dairyman Suite offers accommodation 5 km from Monkey World and 20 km from Corfe Castle. The unit we stayed in was built in 1660 and has a thatched roof. I was very interested in this and the hosts were very friendly and willing to tell me about the thatch. I learned a lot.
