Very comfortable beds. Hosts extremely friendly, Pub traditional and highly recommended. We would stay there again!

The George Hotel's historic exterior hides modern interiors and facilities. The George was perfect in every way. The staff were very attentive, the room was immaculate and the whole hotel is beautiful. I loved the Christmas decorations as they were very tasteful. I loved that they lit a fire in the evening. I thank the staff for their attentive, professional, humble way of looking after me. I will definitely be coming back.

Such a lovely place and really nice hosts, too. Everything was nice and clean, and there was free parking, too, something you don't always get. The breakfast facilities were excellent, too, with a help yourself set-up in a nice dining room. It has a lovely garden, too.

It is set 1.1 km from Blacklands Beach and features a housekeeping service. Dunster Castle is 33 km away and Lundy Island is 47 km from the bed and breakfast. The room was well decorated and well furnished, with two lovely chairs in the bay window overlooking the sea. Beds were comfortable, bathroom was lovely and spacious. Breakfast offered a lot of choice and the foot was great. The couple who run the place were also lovely. There is a sister hotel just 100m down the road where you can also order an evening meal, which gave us generous portions. I also love the honesty bar. It felt very homely and more like an apartment as we also had use of the guest lounge as well. Would thoroughly recommend.

The property is non-smoking and is located 25 km from Royal North Devon Golf Club. So well equipped with more than everything you could need! Games, info, biscuits, milk, tea... It was endless. We've never been to a place that is so thoughtful. Genuinely the best stay we've had.
