Located in Shipton under Wychwood, 23 km from Blenheim Palace, The Crown at Shipton provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a bar. Absolutely stunning inn with over 500 years of history. We requested a room with a bath, which was luxurious and deep. The bed was fabulously comfortable and the room very spacious. Apparently Queen Elizabeth I used this building as her hunting lodge for a time before it was returned to private ownership. The innkeepers are lovely and very helpful--this is clearly a labor of love. Our dog also really enjoyed the stay. We'll definitely be back!

Everything from the front desk service, to the quaint and very well appointed rooms, to the outdoor terrace and restaurants on site. It is a brilliant stay in the Cotswolds. Highly recommend it. Will definitely be back for longer next time!
