The property is situated 26 km from Launceston Castle, 33 km from Restormel Castle and 35 km from Eden Project. Highermead House was one of the less expensive places the GPS showed reasonably close to Tintagel (King Arthur's castle) so we booked it without high expectations. Boy, were we surprised, starting with the nice confirmation note Kasey sent. The GPS took us to a tiny gate in a very narrow tree tunnel. But a few yards further is the wide entrance with lots of parking around what will one day be a fountain (once the outside is renovated). Jon greeted us and took us through a large, beautiful, warm and welcoming, sitting room to a very nicely decorated room that had everything we'd need - microwave, fridge, dishes, table and chairs, lighted mirror in the bathroom, nook in the shower for shower gel. Without having met Kasey, I knew immediately it was her work. She had put some serious thought and effort into it. Later she told me she put everything in it that she would want. Thank you, Jon and Kasey, for being so warm and friendly and having such delightfully fun boys. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay! I'd give it 20 stars if I could!

Which are all the places I visited and hence chose to stay at this great apartment.

Wow 🤩 what a wonderful surprise this little gem is really worth a visit we arrived just in time for a home cooked Sunday roast and delicious pear and berry crumble for desert. The meals really are wonderfull l give them 5 stars ⭐️ The rooms all individually named are beautiful brand new loft style rooms with comfy new beds airy alight with everything you need! Most importantly the hosts are lovely you can’t go wrong it was a delight to stay here ❤️

The property itself was very well kept, I would say the pictures do it no Justice. I was pleasantly surprised to see how nicely decored the rooms were. Me and my partner would recommend this place to anyone. I found the rooms slightly smaller than most places but the cleanliness/decor and kitchenette certainly made up for it.
