Located in Buitrago del Lozoya, El Esquileo provides accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. This is a beautiful property in an ancient village. Tastefully renovated stone building with modern touches.As we were here early in the season we were the only guests. We opted to stay here & take the bus to Madrid. Worked out perfectly. Although the apartment was fully equipped in every way the kitchen was a little small for cooking. But there are several restaurants a short walk away. Parking was right in front.

Situated in Venturada, 45 km from IFEMA and 45 km from Chamartin Railway Station, Oasis Sierra features spacious air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. The host, Julio could not have been more helpful. The room was very spacious, with an en suite bathroom. There was a refrigerator to keep cold items fresh. A delicous breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon, with fruit, tea, and coffee, was served in our room. Julio does not provide an evening meal, however, he recommended two restaurants which were close by. The garden was enclosed, and our little dog enjoyed exploring it. Will definitely be back.

A very cool place in the middle of the tiny mountainous village of Hiruela, north of Madrid. We are a couple and we had the entire house to ourselves, two floors, two bedrooms, a fireplace, a kitchen, a washing machine and so on. It's a renovated village house that is modern and comfortable with a lot of special character. This was probably the coolest place we've stayed in Spain, initially we planned to stay for one night, but after arriving decided to book another night so can fully enjoy the place. There are few short walks around the village and I did several of them, the nicest one was through the forest and valley/stream beneath the village. It was so small, and maybe because of the pandemic everything was closed, no restaurants or shops, so we had to come with our own supplies but that's not a problem. There were two adorable village dogs that came along with us to the walks, and stayed outside our house waiting for us, which was really fun because we love dogs. The hostess was super friendly, didnt speak English but waited for us in the pouring rain when we came in the evening, and after that we communicated by writing (using google translate), she provided us with timber for the fireplace and was very helpful.

La Posada de Horcajuelo is offering accommodation in Horcajuelo de la Sierra. At the inn, all rooms are equipped with a balcony. The staff were very helpful and friendly and went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The restaurant was great, serving up locally sourced dishes.
