From the moment we walked in we knew we would enjoy staying here, the fires were already burning and felt very welcoming after a hard days work. The staff made us feel very welcome and were extremely polite, courteous and smiling all the time, like they genuinely enjoyed working there. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and had king-sized beds and lovely hot showers. Our dinners were delicious and our breakfast was the perfect start to a busy day ahead. I just wish I could poach eggs as well as they can!!! We get to stay in many hotels around the country all year round, but very few are as welcoming and comfortable as the Scotts Arms, a real credit to the staff and the management team.

We go away every new year, and always pick a new village each year. This is the first time we have done the same place two years in a row. Knaresborugh is beautiful and The Old Post Office has everything you need for a perfect stay.
For those on a budget, these cheap and cheerful hotels still have a lot to offer, with most offering WiFi and convenient locations. Very clean & welcoming, the cottage was ideal for our stay. Delightful welcoming pack & the location is ideal. Parking is available for a couple of vehicles which is great if it's a group visiting.
Breakfast was good, beds and pillows were comfy. Location ideal for where we were going. Shower was powerful and water nice and hot, really nice shower gel to use too.
