The place has seen better times. The pub at the front of the property is boarded up. There was no staff on the property when we were trying to check in. There was a phone number that we were supposed to call, but we didn't have a local phone. Luckily someone offered to call for us and were were told by someone on the phone which room was ours and that the key was inside. It worked... but we never saw anyone who worked there. Tiny bathroom. It is probably what I should have expected for the price, but it wasn't as nice as I was expecting from the reviews.

Amazing location over looking the sea. Amazing breakfast, the omelette was wonderful. The hosts were a pleasure, very kind and peaceful. I was in the area for a wedding and Brendan gave me a ride to the location so I didn't have to take a taxi! So generous and kindly let me stay a little past checkout so I could get my hair sorted! The bed was very big and comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean, I couldn't have asked for anything more :-D

We had to catch the ferry from Cairnryan early this morning so we picked Windsor House as a place to stay close to the port. The location was ideal and the accommodation was very comfortable for me, my wife and two children. Easy to access and very clean. The lady we spoke to before our departure was very friendly. I would happily recommend Windsor Guesthouse.
The guesthouse was in an ideal location for our short trip to the ferry terminal the next morning. Parking is plentiful and free, both on street or in a large car park opposite the Guesthouse. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts were friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and would stay again if travelling to Ireland by ferry. Excellent value for money.
