This room was a perfect location walking distance from the centre and all the main sights of Edinburgh. It was a 25 minute tram ride from the airport followed by a 3 minute walk. Check in was simple as the code was emailed beforehand so their were no issues. It is just opposite the Palmerston restaurant which does a great selection of pastries every morning - definitely worth a visit. The shower was fantastic.

The luggage storage in the basement was very convenient as I arrived early in the morning. Location was great as I took the airport tram to the West End stop and walked 2 minutes to the hotel. Was able to hop back onto that tram to get to Waverly train station, also quite walkable to Princes St, and to the Convention Centre for my conference. Room was equipped with everything I needed for a week-long stay - kitchen, laundry, bathroom.

Peaceful location. Lovely garden. We were there for the royal highland show and it was an easy short journey by car.Although we didn’t take our dog it was ideal location for pets, plenty of walks.
Laird and Dog in a nice location. Room was very clean and comfortable and had everything I needed. Good breakfast. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Great bus link to Edinburgh just outside the pub door.
Very clean cosy room. Bed and bedding exceptional. Great shower: good water pressure and easy to adjust to required temperature. Best thing is location, location, location. Bus stop immediately outside hotel so easy to leave the car at the hotel and travel into the city. Regular bus service that runs after midnight!! Always on time for me.
The location was ideal from the centre of Edinburgh. Easy to get to and from by bus. The room had everything I needed for my trip and staff were very helpful in explaining how to use the facilities and how to access my room via the pub and side door. It was a great touch to have a TV that I could access streaming services. The breakfast was lovely and the setting of the conservatory was beautiful, a very relaxing start to the day.
simply excellent, top class on every sector, beautiful location, very clean, everything well organised, especial thanks to the host for keeping everything spotless and organised, very spacious cottage, just unfortunate that we didn’t spent enough time in the property, May be another time. Highly recommend everyone to stay there.
