Quirky BnB with animal farm in John O'Groats. Close to ferry terminals, the JOG park and beach. Hostess provided a varied breakfast with her warm, just out of the oven Bread which was yummy. All in all a great stay.

Kacey could not be a more accommodating host. She also prepared great meals for dinner and breakfast and was able to accommodate all special dietary request for our group. To top it off her entire facility is extremely eco conscious. I would highly recommend the Burnside Cottage.

The pictures don't do this beautiful property justice! WOW, just WOW! The location is GRAND! These stand alone cabins are gorgeous and well appointed. We stayed in Lodge 21, although there were many more cabins than we expected from the site. We were glad that we stayed 2 nights and only wish we could have stayed longer. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure fantastic. As Americans were SO appreciated the binder with step by step instructions on "how-to" work all the appliances, the washer/dryer, heat and showers. We were especially grateful for the washer/dryer as we had been hiking in the rain and were covered in mud! The fireplace was a delicious treat, too!

The location, the view, the surrounding was awesome - calm, serene and beautiful. The property was very clean and very comfortable. The facilities and amenities were very good. We managed to get food on site and we managed to cook too.
I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting JOG. We wished we stayed a bit longer.
Myself and my partner stayed here for one night while doing the NC500. The location is ideal and is close to everything in John O’Groats and is the only place that provides dinner.
The house was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and the facilities were clean and in good working order. The location was fabulous, 20 minutes' walk from John O'Groats, and 10 minutes from the seashore, a beautiful rocky beach. The landlady was lovely and kind, very responsive. The field just outside had a rare breed herd of sheep with the cutest lambs we were allowed to help bottle feed and pet (field rented by another farmer, also lovely).
The location was ideal to be able to explore the area. The views from my room were great.
Gordon is a perfect host and gave me ideas for places to visit during my stay. The little dog Ellie is adorable.

An absolutely beautiful location. A charming cottage very close to the seaside - peace and quiet, stunning views and the center of the village within a walking distance in one package deal. Old building but with necessary amenities. The place can easily host up to six people. The beds were comfortable. I especially liked the kitchen/living room area on the first floor. We took a trip to the Orkneys which was a unique experience and the harbor is not far from the cottage. I can only recommend the place! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
