The host was friendly, even if his second sentence to us was, “You do realise that there is not breakfast”. For a Bed and Breakfast business, we were very surprised by this. When I replied that we thought that breakfast was included, we were given the owner’s reasons that breakfast could only be provided to 3 of his 6 rooms and that we could buy our breakfast elsewhere. He also told us our e-Mail from Booking.com will have stated no breakfast. Surprising, as his website had four images of excellent breakfasts and a breakfast menu! Had we known this, we would have booked into another guest house or hotel. The room was clean.

We received a warm welcome from Sue and she kindly arranged tea and freshly baked cake for us as we relaxed after our journey. The room was really comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We would definitely book again if we are in the area.

Exceptional place in a simply stunning location. Admittedly we lucked out timing-wise - very good (almost freakishly good) weather made our stay all the more enjoyable; felt like we were in the Med as we sipped beers looking out across the flat calm of Loch Awe. But even in more typical Scottish weather, this hotel's incredible setting makes it somewhere truly stand-out. The fact that the staff (a great team), rooms, facilities and food are also more than up to scratch ensure this place is nothing short of a real gem in the wilds of picture-perfect Argyll. Assuming they maintain such high standards - and I have no reason to believe they won't - Taychreggans is truly somewhere to be treasured.

Great location on Main Street. Good selection of restaurants for evening meal. Complimentary buffet breakfast more than adequate but cooked breakfast at additional cost had a great selection.
We had a superior room which was very spacious, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Snacks sweets and treats in the cafe all delicious and freshly made every day.

The location is ideal. Close to restaurants, shops and tourist walks. Kirstin is the host and she was very helpful and friendly. She also let us know that the Christmas light switch-on was the night we arrived, so that made for a fun memory. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, even with how cold the weather was and it being a period property. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, plates and cutlery. I would definitely book again in a heartbeat.
Excellent hotel. Room was very clean and comfortable. The swimming pool and spa facilities were very good and spotless with nice views. Very good location just 5 minutes walk from Inveraray. Loads of parking spaces. The breakfast was very good quality. We did not have dinner, but the restaurant seemed very pleasant.
