The Merryburn Inn offers wonderful, spacious rooms (we had two; one upstairs and one huge one with a living room and kitchen downstairs). The decor is absolutely charming, and the beds & seating very comfortable.

The apartment is so spacious! Wow! Pretty much everyone in our party had their own bedroom! I loved the vintage toilets (even though it took a few moments to figure out how to get one of them to flush properly). It was peaceful and pleasant and the kitchen made it easy for us to self-cater our meals. There was a small laundrette nearby that made it easy for us to wash our clothes after being on the road for a week.

This is by far our most favorite place in all of Scotland, we booked WAY last minute and got such a great price, we needed to do laundry as well after being cooped up in the car all day and the manager at the front desk hooked us up with the bags and explained there was someone onsite that did the laundry and it would be ready for us to pick up the next day. The room was spacious and comfortable to be in. If I’m ever coming back to Scotland I WILL be booking this hotel for the entire time.

Booked rooms at The Merryburn & Courtyard Studios to attend a wedding in the area. The owner was extremely helpful in accommodating my request to check in early and the rooms were spotless. Facilities in the room are excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending this location.
The studio was comfortable, spacious and homely. It’s in an ideal location, a moment from the train station and near cafes, restaurants, ancient trees and a great little bookshop. This was the second time I’ve stayed there and I doubt it’ll be my last.
I travel regularly with my 5 year old daughter and this was by far the best hotel we have stayed in. Beautiful hotel and location, lovely room, spotlessly clean pool, the food was of a really high standard. Overall absolutely fantastic, keep up the good work as we will be expecting the same standard next time we come to stay !
