The room was vey spacious and very clean. Excellent location and amazing breakfast, I loved the refill of the drinks.
We had an early wedding to go to and I asked if it was possible for early check in. The staff were so accommodating offering to place our bags in our rooms if it wasn’t ready on arrival. But the cleaning staff did an amazing job and had our room ready when we got there anyway! Thank you as it saved us a lot of messing about.
I stayed in room 28. Was fantastic size. Very clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was fantastic. Had an extensive choice . I’m celiac and was very large selection on menu . Had dinner in restaurant too and was amazing . I had gf roast chicken with veg and chips . Compliments to the chief. Young Lady that served us was very attentive and friendly . Also had drinks from the bar where I found staff very friendly . The whole hotel was spotless . Has lots of character.
Good welcome from member of staff, room spotless, great shower, nice courtyard shared with the 2 other rooms. Good location and well back from road/ market square so very quiet. A comfy bed. Great burnt orange towels!
Really nice new room in the courtyard behind the pub. Very clean and comfortable. Great location right in the middle of town. Also its a great pub to have a drink. There are lots of places nearby to get breakfast. Staff dealt with issues quickly - even early in the morning.
The host was a lovely lady very tentative and informative, the room was absolutely spotless and very cosy. Excellent location with a cheap long stay car park around the corner. We stayed at the Pelican on st paddy's night but unfortunately we didn't join in with the celebrations because we were so tired, however it sounded like a great night. We will definitely be back again.
Amazing friendly staff.we had been on a road trip staying in different locations ,this was one of the cheapest yet breakfast was amazing.Freshly cooked, hot tea, clean rooms.it is an old property but very CLEAN
We were cycling from Bristol to London; Devizes is a logical stopover, so the location of the Bear was ideal for us. The Bear also has secure storage for bikes, so ideal for cycle touring. We got a warm welcome from all the staff and our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We arrived in hot weather but the room was cool on arrival and also had a fan, which was very welcome. We had dinner at the outside tables and the food was lovely. Breakfast was also very good. Great stay.
