Manager/staff very friendly and helpful - a credit to the profession. I was also given advice re: onward travel which was very useful. Great breakfast too which set me up for the day. I’d definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Very friendly, super clean, fantastic decor, very high standard, bed was lovely and comfy, fab pillows! The hot tub was great, easy to book your slot/s, if like us it was a great start and end to a day. The hubby found the sauna to be an added bonus!! Fantastic seating areas by the river, very soothing to listen to the water rushing by, there is a lovely little summer house outside too, we would love to visit again in the summer. The biggest healthiest chickens in the front garden, don't forget to take them some grapes! Super breakfasts, and the smoothies were delicious, all in all not a bad thing to say about this fantastic little guest house!!

The lodge is in a beautiful, quiet location. The inside is very clean. It is well equipped with everything you need, and the beds are lovely and comfortable.
A very well-appointed lodge in a great location. Clean, comfortable and perfect for family or friend group. We had great fun with the giant TV. Ideal for dogs. Great walking nearby.(Kippford Reserve dog friendly) Kippford and its 2 dog friendly pubs are only a ten minute walk. Easy jump in car to Dalbeattie for groceries and Castle Douglas a lovely place to potter.
Liz was very helpful, a great host! Caravan spotless, great location,lovely views, peaceful and quiet. All in all a fantastic area with many beautiful places to visit. A short walk to Kippford for the necessary beer given the hot weather!
The property is in an ideal quiet rural location. It is tired and dated. It needs a boost to bring up to a better standard. The shower starts hot then quickly turns cold. Although not dirty, there are no shortage of spiders and cobwebs in room and in public areas. The food was adequate. The service was good.
Everything A gorgeous setting fantastic wildlife. The location is ideal for loads of Aventures locally Loch Ken waters ports, ferry to The Isle of Arram, And really friendly people in Dalbeattie. Nothing to fault.

So far as the cuisine is concerned, The Clonyard House Hotel offers an extensive A la carte menu where the food is made fresh to order at an affordable price. The quality of the food & it's presentation is "second to none'
The caravan was easy to find and had really nice views, the decking was in the sun all day. Very clean, ample space, and on suite in the main bedroom.
Ideally located for visiting in the area and Kippford a 10 min walk down the road.
Liz kept us well informed on how to find the site and how to gain entry on arrival.
