1. The location is good, living near the lake is pretty good. (Interlaken is too crowded, if you like view of lake and quiet place, I'll suggest living in Spiez)

Excellent location, across the railway station, spotless clean, good breakfast in a room or on a terass with breathtaking view on Thun lake, nice ladies at the reception. The hotel is within a movie theater (unfortunately having only movies dubbed în German) and has a nice bistro. Spiez is not only extremely beautiful and quaint, but also a great base for visiting the wonderful Berner Oberland area (however you should be aware that train travel is efficient and very comfortable, but not cheap).
