This was the perfect place to stay while hiking in the Cimalmotto and Bosco Gurin area of Valle Maggia. It was on both the 313 and 312 bus routes up the valley so easy to get around without a car. Our host Pablo was so friendly and obliging. We brought our own food with us from the Coop in Cevio and we loved the warm cozy kitchen where we could eat. I rate this place 10 out of 10, not because of the gold plated taps and marble bathroom, but because it suited us perfectly as hikers.

The staff were wonderful, the bedroom and the hotel are historical, complete with creaky floors. The breakfast was simple continental, but completely sufficient. Exceptional hospitality. It's rare these days to find a host who is so very welcoming. The breakfast was the best we have had in a long time.
