Everything was as expected, perfect location, calm, super clean, and Theodore and Beatrice have been amazing - perfect hosts who made the stay super enjoyable!
Breakfast options could've been a bit different, dont want to have the same thing for 5 days in a row. The quality of food was good. Location is just so blissful and perfect. Worth a visit and obviously I'd be staying here whenever I'm coming back.

The location is excellent, in the beautiful village of Aeschi, just a short journey from Interlaken. Our room was big and spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We also had a balcony, so had an amazing view of the alps and the surrounding areas. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly prepared and just what we needed to start the day. Thanks to Theo and Beatrice for being so welcoming and helping us with planning our time in Aeschi.

I liked very much the self checkin. It allowed us to come late in the first night, without worrying this will be outside the checkin hours. The details provided by the owner were very precise and was super easy to find the location.
The location of Hotel Sunnmatt is just amazing, a short car / bus ride from Spiez and the lake, but high enough up to enjoy alpine meadows with glimpses of the high mountains. The owners, Theo and his wife, are lovely. The hotel is simply furnished, breakfast is continental style, but perfectly adequate. Aeschi is a lovely little village with the basic amenities you need, supermarket, restaurant / bar, bakery, bank.
