The owner was so accommodating, very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed talking to him and playing with his puppy. The room was impeccable, comfortable and very clean. The furniture was pristine and lovely. Big bathroom that is beautifully tiled and decorated. Access to kitchen for coffee, snacks and breakfast .

Located in Mount Vision, in a historic building, 26 km from Doubleday Field, Bloom Farm Guesthouse is a bed and breakfast with a garden and shared lounge. The owners (Rob and Anna) were super friendly, accommodating to our needs, and fun to chat with. If I could give a 10++ it would be the breakfast. They have chickens that produced fresh eggs and there was a fresh fruit and homemade bread market right across street that we got to enjoy every morning. The areas were very quiet aesthetically pleasing to the eye from location to parking, to living areas and bedroom. Access to the home and room were easy and without problems. Highly recommend a stay there if you enjoy peace, quiet and a great breakfast!

Absolutely lovely little b&b right in Southampton. The staff (Trevor) was great, the room was quite comfortable, and the location can't be beat. We will definitely be back !

Featuring quiet street views, Sherman Inn is situated in Ogdensburg, around 48 km from SUNY Potsdam. It is located 46 km from Clarkson University and features a shared kitchen. You cannot understate how impressive this place is. The rooms are HUGE and amazingly well equipped. The building was a former school and each classroom is now a room to stay in - so they are huge (and each has its own nice bathroom too). Two huge beds, sofas and seating areas, and loads of interesting stuff. The owners have also made a great job of preserving the history of the school, and the area, and you could spend a day just looking around the room and the rest of the building, to learn about the local history. Breakfast was amazing too. See the photos. We normally skip hotel breakfast, but had to make an exception here. I was drinking tea - I even got to choose which teapot I had (there were lots of fun choices, mine was shaped like an elephant!) Ogdensburg is a really lovely place too - great parks, great ice cream shop, and a lot of history that I knew nothing about beforehand. And its a good base to visit various things from as well. Incredible job, a total and very pleasurable surprise. We even changed our schedule to stay an extra night.

Located in Wilmington, 18 km from Lake Placid, The Wilderness Inn: Chalets features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a bar and barbecue facilities. We loved the Chalet and will definitely be coming back. It was very spacious clean and cozy. The kitchen was fully equipped including a few seasonings and oil. It was close to a few hiking trails and just a short drive away to a little grocery store with a deli that made a great sandwich.
