It immediately felt like Home, with the sweet Christmas decorations. The host has paid attention all the details , there was everything that you could need in the kitchen and the bathroom. In the bedroom there was enough wood for the fireplace for 3 nights, many pillows and blankets, a comfortable bed… everything was just sweet and perfect. It was also very clean!

The view toward the lake Balaton from the balcony above our room was breathtaking and frankly, we drank our coffee there in the mornings and had a glass of wine there before dark, despite of the kind of chilly weather we had during our stay.

Everything was perfect from start to finish. Smooth check-in and check-out, spotlessly clean rooms with modern furniture and the most wonderful view on the Balaton. We even received a complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival.

Sziget Vendégház, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Szigliget, 30 km from Sümeg Castle, 44 km from Tihany Abbey, as well as 3.5 km from Szigliget Castle and Museum. Great location, close to the beach and the harbour. You can take lunch and dinner at the restaurant near the harbour and breakfast at a sandwich place also close to the location.

There was a pool with plenty of beds around, the rooms were nice and clean. There was plenty of place to unpack. The breakfast was fantastic with lots of great options. There are a lot of bikes that you can just take when going into the centre with no hassle at all.

Beautiful, modern guesthouse with well-equipped apartments of various sizes. We enjoyed the wellness area with jacuzzi and sauna (although we didn't use the latter because of the heat. Marika, the host is very welcoming and does her utmost to accommodate her guests. The apartment was spotlessly clean. The guesthouse is located in walking distance to the beach and several restaurants.

The place, house, room and view of the terrace is very beautiful and everything is cozy. We took the wine tasting in the evening and we really loved it and enjoyed it! We strongly recommend it to others! We also were lucky to be only guests in the evening, thus we got all the attention from the house owners and had a lovely conversation about wine and Hungary :)
