Lubbenau is gorgeous and perfect for walking, cycling or kayaking around the Spreewald. The open air museum in Lehde is great.

Wonderful calm location with low light pollution, exactly what I was looking for. As for the house: good heating, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, good lighting and media setup.
