Located at the border of Saguenay Fjord National Park, Grangette Entre Chiens et Loups is a country house that offers mountain scenery and direct access to the nearby woodlands and river. I'm not a dog lover but was attracted by the price, location and great reviews. Incredible place. Very clean for starters - no dog hairs, e.g., on the inside, which I had been a bit worried about. And to my surprise I really loved THESE dogs - magnificent, strong animals but also well-behaved and gentle. They're obviously well-trained and well-treated. I almost didn't go on the morning walk, and that would have been a big mistake - it turned out (like for many people!) to be a highlight of my trip. I'd love to go back in the winter for the sledding. Also, as all reviewers rightly note, the owners are very friendly.

Located in a mountainous area in Métabetchouan-Lac-à-la-Croix, this B&B is just 10 km from the town centre as well as Le Rigolet Beach on Lac Saint-Jean. Although the property was away from the nearby town, it was located in a wooded area where the owner had made several walking tracks that we enjoyed. The room was fine with good views out over the garden area and also had a nice terrace.

Located in central Alma, this guest accommodation is a 5-minute walk from Parc de Riverbend (Riverbend Park). This non-smoking property offers free Wi-Fi and fresh breakfast that features local foods.... Very nice stay, will definitely come back. The breakfast was delicious, the bed really comfortable. The host super friendly.
