Great location. Lovely apartment, very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. Attilio is a warm and welcoming host and makes himself available to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

--The balcony is the highlight. Large and has an incredible view of the lake
--Nice, clean apartment with a large living room and kitchen
--pretty and quiet neighborhood
--Yury was fantastic. We elected to have him pick us up and drop us off from the train station for 20 euros each way, and he gave us a tour of the town. He was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay, and he even gave us a complementary bottle of wine
--washer in the unit (although we did not use it)
Things to know:
--This is in an adjacent neighborhood to Varenna, about a 30 minute walk from Villa Monastero (which is on the edge of Varenna). It is a nice neighborhood, and there is a restaurant close by, but you should expect to have to walk to and from Varenna, with hills to get up into the neighborhood. You can cut the walk in half by taking the train, but it only comes once an hour. We enjoyed the walk (it is along Lake Como after all)
--No ac. We opened the windows at night and it was cool
Overall, we really enjoyed this experience. We enjoyed breakfast and wine in the evenings out on the balcony with an amazing view, and we were in Varenna/Bellagio/Menaggio during the days. If you are happy with walking and understand it is not in the city center, you will have a great time

Location was great, very nice and quiet.We did not have whatsapp so we were unable to get the better directions the owner sent but he tried his best to explained everything on the phone very kind and helpful including his neighbor.The place was amazing, I would give a 11 out of 10 :).The view from the balcony was incredible,we had a great time.

The location was perfect and the bed was huge and super comfortable. It had all the facilities we needed and is near the train station and ferry port. Great communication, cosy place and would definitely stay here again

Wow! We loved our stay in this beautiful apartment. Very clean and comfortable with breathtaking views. Many amenities with granola, fresh fruit, coffee, and snacks provided. We used the kitchen to cook in one night, it had everything we needed. The location was fabulous, quieter than the waterfront but still close to everything. Our host was terrific and very responsive to questions. We couldn't be more pleased. We can't wait to return and will definitely stay here again.

The view is absolutely incredible. It is one of the loveliest Villas we have ever stayed at. Our house was also very comfortable, equipped with everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and easily reachable by phone.
The apartment was spotless. It had good beds, a lovely view, and a nice bathroom with a washing machine/dryer unit that we used extensively. We especially appreciated the downhill walk from the train station. The apartment was not in the main, historic section of Varenna. Instead, it was in a neighborhood slightly north of the main village. It was close to the boat terminal. This was convenient when we left because we took a boat to Como.
Christian just made our entire Trip. We came out for our wedding and wow what a host. The best villa we have ever stayed in - ITS STUNNING! All the rooms are amazing!! The views are insane!! The pool area is massive. It’s just amazing and we will be returning every YEAR!

The service from Christian was incredible . He gave us the most amazing and helpful recommendations which really impacted our trip in a positive way. The location was so close to town and the most amazing views. The room was clean, spacious and we loved utilising the kitchen facilities and cooking a few of the nights. Having the pool made it even better we loved our afternoon swims and drinks by the pool. We had the most special experience at Villa Monte and was one of the best places we have ever stayed.
Excellent location in the central square and close to the waterfront, swimming area and Villa Monastero. The flat was comfortable and clean and our host was very helpful and friendly.
The kitchen and the bathroom had all the possible amenities that one could ask for in order to comfortably stay in the villa. The villa was clean and there was modern furniture. The best thing about this villa was the location as there is an amazing view of Lake Comp and Menaggio. There are also lots of seating available outside and a spacious balcony to enjoy the view.
Villa Monti was outstanding. MG was an amazing host, and all his recommendations were elite. The building and room itself was amazing. Nothing was too much of a problem for MG. Thanks for looking after us in Varenna.

Location is great, its on higher ground, and away from the crowds. Beautiful view of Lake Como from the room and the villa.
