Fantastic location, very central and close to the restaurants and lake. Photo's did not do the apartment justice, it had everything you needed and was very spacious. Lovely balcony. Hosts were fantastic at communicating, and they even left a beautiful welcome gift. Superb value for money. We opted to stay in a hotel on our final night in Stresa but wished we had booked this for a second evening as it was better than the more expensive hotel that we opted for on our final night!

Il Poggiolo is perfectly located in Someraro, about 15 minutes by car from Stresa. The place is quiet, with beautiful old streets, it is also reachable within a walking distance from Stresa. The accommodation is extremely friendly, quiet, with a balcony offering a great view to the Lake Maggiore. Very comfortable and chic. Valeria and Andrea are perfect hosts, very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with home made delicacies, i.e. quiche or focaccia and also cakes. Great coffee. Will definitely come back again! Just one insider tip: do not miss the great Ristorante Il Cardini located just around the corner, near the church.

Kind and helpful welcome when Google Maps led us astray. Room was spacious and clean but crowded with furniture. Absolutely fantastic lake view but the "Giardino" was overgrown and needed some serious TLC. Nice breakfast.

Customer service was fantastic. The main villa was so beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. You can have any coffee you wish and selection of food was great. Just up the main street with wonderful views of the mountain. Beautiful gardens with seating areas to enjoy a drink on return from activities in Stresa.
Very well located: ~5 minutes by foot to the Ferry station to go to nearby islands and other villages. The house is on a quiet street, just next to a big supermarket.

Amazing location, within walking distance to everything. We were here for a wedding at the villa which was literally at the end of the road. Couldn't have been better. Also loved starting each day with a coffee (from the machine provided) out on the balcony with beautiful views. The place was clean and we immediately felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. Nothing to fault! Everything as expected from the photos.
The apartment in the old villa is actually very bright (unlike the photo), with windows on three sides and two balconies. There are trees all around, and you can see the mountains and even the lake through the other houses. It is easy to find, on the quiet street, close to the station and the shop where the locals shop, 15-20 minutes walk to the port. The kitchen is equipped with the necessary utensils, spices and plenty of coffee. Nice hostess.

Perfect location in Stresa, you can easily walk to the centre, shops and beach. We enjoyed Villa Peachey architecture and interior, inner yard, there we could have our meals outside. It's really lovely place! Well equiped kitchen, soft towels, very comfortable bed in bedroom. It was nice to meet the Villa's owner Patrizia in person!
The very warm welcome we received from all staff. They were so genuinely interested in how they could help and how our days had been. They couldn’t have done more. We also loved that it was one a private villa and that charm, along with much of the furniture and decoration had been maintained in the public spaces - it felt authentically Italian.
