Very personal b&b , lovely people, the landlady baked a cake for us! The accomodation is simple but clean and private, it is centrally situated in the village of Baveno in a quiet street . We really enjoyed our stay !
It is situated on a hill above the village. The view from all the terraces is amazing. You can sit there all day watching over the lake. Our host Maria was very friendly. She drove up our luggage to the house in her 4WD and took it down to our car again at the end of the week.
The house has a huge garden that is fenced, great for our dog. The house itself is spacious too. The terrace on the first flour is shaded in the afternoon and furnished with good lounge chairs.
Amazing view over the lake and the island. The breakfast was delicious typical Italian with croissants and coffee, but also eggs and other options available. Free parking available and 15min walking to Baveno city (no sidewalk so is not the most pedestrian friendly). Is a small villa and the garden and outdoor area is relaxing, would definitely recommend is you want a chill vacantion.
Villa Sofia is modern, fresh, clean and v well equipped. Fantastic view from the balcony. Manuela was attentive and super helpful. The memory foam bed is comfortable. Balcony seating for meals. There were coffee pods, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, water, washing up stuff, shower stuff, even washing machine pods. The aircon worked well in both rooms.
Giulio is an extremely kind host, charming, helpful with every request. The view from the room to the lake is amazing. The villa gardens are well maintained and beautiful. The dining room is beautiful and intimate.
In reality Villa is much better then on pictures.
View over lake is stunning, it’s right on the lake front & islands.

A nice traditional villa located over three floors. Perfect if you need two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very welcoming and friendly host, great communication. Perfect location for the centre of Baveno, only 2 minutes walk to the lake Maggiore. Great takeaway pizzeria around the corner, and a supermarket. 5 min walk to the station. Very clean and very safe.
