Our accommodation was in a good location, opposite a park & just a 5 minute walk to the old town.
Pasquale was there waiting for us when we arrived.
The B&B hotel was lovely, very grand and full of character.
Both our rooms were upstairs, ours overlooked both the back garden and a park.
They were large & beautifully decorated.
Our polished floorboards did squeak a little but that is to be expected in older buildings.
The room was well heated, it had plenty of storage space and a lovely sitting area overlooking the park.
Our bathroom was large with double sinks and walk-in shower. We also had a heated towel rail.
Pasquale served our breakfast every morning in a beautifully decorated dining room. The food was always fresh, French, varied and he would always offer other options as well.
We were given a code on arrival to access the property as we needed. We knew there were no fridges in the rooms but Pasquale happily stored our son’s medication in the fridge & freezer for him.
You can tell Pasquale takes great pride in his business and his home. Nothing was a problem for him and he would offer suggestions or have a chat with us each morning.
To top it off my husband made friends with his beautiful golden retriever Pekito. He would look forward to having pats every morning. We didn’t even realise he had a dog as he never barked.
We would have all said if we went back to Bayeaux we would stay here again.

Very spacious apartment. Very clean. It has a washing machine which is a blessing while travelling. I believe there was laundry detergent available, but we purchased our own to use since we were there for a few nights. Communication with owner/host was smooth and pleasant, they were quick to respond. There is parking available on the street which is free of charge, but note that this parking is not specifically at the property itself. We did not cook while we were there, the kitchen seemed to have the kitchenware to do so.

This holiday rental was beautiful and was in a great location. We could park on the road and there was a lovely garden to sit in. I would recommend this ground floor apartment ideal for family. Host very friendly and quick to respond to any questions
Bayeux is a small walkable village but the hotel location was just off the main drag enough to make it peaceful. The restuarant was excellent with a number of good choices. The breakfast was just ok. The location was very close to the departure area for all the tours.
The location of Villa Lara was perfect! There were several restaurants and historic landmarks within easy walking distance. The staff was incredible. The owner took us on a tour of the city which was the highlight of our trip. The hotel is also in a perfect location to meet tour companies for the Normandy WWII tours. Outstanding stay!
My daughters loved the property: THIS was what they had hoped to stay in when we visited France. They loved the view from the windows, the easy walk to the village, the HUGE living space.
This was a beautiful property, with a very gracious host. The breakfast was incredible, with special treats every morning. I wish we had been able to stay longer. It was a close walk to the village and easy drive to all the D-Day beaches.
